London City Brass is a progressive, enthusiastic band who rehearse in the City of London on Wednesday evenings. We're based at St. Margaret Pattens church, Rood Lane, London EC3M 1HS
City is made up of players from various backgrounds and a wide age range. We do like to push ourselves musically, but our main aim is to provide quality entertainment whilst having fun. We’ve got a growing diary of engagements for 2024, and will be working on new music to perform at these over the next few months.
We’re not strictly a contesting band, but we are all registered as contesting players and have competed for three years in the French Open contest, gaining 3rd (2018) and 2nd place (2019) in our section. We finally triumphed in 2022, carrying home the 1st place honours. We have also competed at Wychavon Festival of Brass and came away with 2nd place honours in 2023.
Currently, all of our sections are full. We have limited rehearsal space, so can't accommodate any more brass players. Keep an eye on our website and social media for any future vacancies.
